Radio One (Mikey Dread)

This is the musicians news

And now here is your news

Guys judging man music openly on the air

Show no little or no appreciation for the words they prepare

They have no idea, not even a clue

Of how reggae was created by me and by you

Bias and favouritism to abandon our music

The ones who would buy it, they now refuse it

Fighting a million forests of new products on new labels

Stopping a million sales by them fairy tales and fables

The time: a minute after news time

Continuing further

Defeating the efforts of small producers on their label

The jury is in fury against rockers on their turntable

It's time we see the effects they have caused

By judging us wrongfully by their self-made laws

No discretion is used, no discretion at all

They only make I man suffer the more they hear I man bawl

Airplay might be essential, airplay might be vital

But right now it is insignificant, because I man going international

That's end of the news

Now this is your weather forecast

Very bright at first

During the afternoon, scattered showers of African smoke all over the studio

Tonight, fair to fine

Chalice blazing, herb smoking

And the biggest rocking with reggae music all over

Over

Studio, over

Studios over

Can you hear me over there?

Yeah, loud and clear, loud and clear

Yes! What's happening over there right now?

Smokes, smoke

Studio is very smoky, like I say

Ah, you mean cloudy, cloudy

You mean that the studio is cloudy

Yes, come on, come on

It's cloudy, cloudy

Yeah, tons of smoke

Smoke
